James Kutzner
Senior Director of Advanced Technology, Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)

James Kutzner is Senior Director of Advanced Technology at PBS where he manages engineering and technical projects within PBS. Kutzner is a member of the ATSC Board and chairs the ATSC Planning Team on the Next Generation of Broadcast Television. He is co-chair of SMPTE 32NF, the Technology Committee for Network Facilities and Architecture. He is also Vice Chair of the Open Mobile Video Coalition’s Technical Advisory Group. He holds a Masters degree in Engineering Management from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. He is a Fellow of SMPTE and a member of the IEEE.

Young-Kwon Lim

Young-Kwon Lim received his BS and MS degrees in Electronics Engineering from the Hankuk Aerospace University, Seoul, Korea in 1994 and 1996 respectively. He received his Ph. D. degree in Electronics Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea in 2011. After he joined ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), Daejon, Korea in 1996, he actively participated in the standardization and development of MPEG technologies by serving as a chairman of number of Ad Hoc Groups and editor of various MPEG Systems standards. From 2000, he joined net&tv Inc. and has been leading the development of domestic and international standards of DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting). He is currently serving as chairman of Systems subgroup of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29/WG 11 MPEG since 2009. He is also serving as a chairman of ATSC Specialist Group on 3D-TV and Specialist Group on Management and Protocols, which is developing ATSC 3.0 standards. His research interests include Multimedia Systems and convergence between digital broadcasting and Internet.
